As a high school senior photographer in the Sammamish area, I have the privilege of documenting unforgettable milestones for high school seniors, showcasing their unique stories and passions. Recently, I had the honor of photographing Kori, a Class of 2025 senior at Skyline High School in Sammamish. Her senior session was nothing short of inspiring, filled with her love for basketball, her dedication to her school, and her vibrant personality.
Showcasing Kori’s Love for Basketball
We started Kori’s senior session at Skyline High School’s basketball gym—a place that has been central to her high school journey. As a key player on the Skyline basketball team since her freshman year, Kori has poured her heart into the game. The gym, filled with echoes of practices, games, and victories, was the perfect backdrop to celebrate her athletic achievements.
We captured dynamic and posed shots that showcased her strength, determination, and love for the sport. From action-inspired images to candid moments with the basketball, this part of the session reflected a major part of Kori’s identity as an athlete and leader.
A Serene Second Location: Pine Lake Park
For the second half of Kori’s session, we chose Pine Lake Park in Sammamish. The lush greenery and serene lake provided a stunning contrast to the high-energy gym photos, creating a balanced and timeless gallery. Pine Lake Park is one of my favorite locations for senior photography because it offers a peaceful yet versatile backdrop that works beautifully for any senior session.
The natural light and vibrant colors of the park complemented Kori’s warm and confident personality. These portraits highlighted her radiant smile and gave us the chance to create a softer, more relaxed vibe that rounded out her senior collection.
A Bright Future for Kori
Kori isn’t just an athlete—she’s a multifaceted individual with big dreams and a bright future. Known for her sharp wit, intelligence, and integrity, Kori balances her athletic commitments with other impressive roles, including being part of the Skyline yearbook team and working as a basketball referee.
As she looks ahead to the next chapter, Kori is excited to explore new opportunities and see where her journey takes her. Her senior session was a celebration of all that she’s achieved and all that lies ahead.

I started taking photos as a way to bring healing to our world and tell the stories of the amazing human beings in my local community before they no longer could tell their story. Because, I didn't have that opportunity with any of my parents and grandparents, they passed in my early 20's.
Since 2019, I have fell more passionately in love for photography and storytelling but also my love for empowering young people in my community. So I decided to bring both passions together to create Last Forever Images.
...I was adopted at the age of 3 months by an elderly couple who didn't have the tools to raise a baby to be an empowered Black Girl living in Snohomish County. I didn't find my Black Girl Magic or learn to love my authentic self until my early-mid 20's.
I now believe my life long mission is to teach young people to find who they are and love themselves fully and to never let someone define who they are are who they should become.
